The second edition of the Texas Infant, Toddler, and Three-Year-Old Early Learning Guidelines (ITELG) supports families, educators, administrators, specialists, and policymakers in understanding and promoting the healthy growth and development of children from birth through age three. The guidelines provide research-based recommendations, developmental indicators, and practical strategies to help adults create responsive, engaging learning environments during the earliest years of life.

Online training modules based on the 2013 edition of the ITELG are currently available to all users at no cost through CLI Engage.

ITELG Online Training
Developed by the Children’s Learning Institute in partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission, this free, self-paced online training helps caregivers and educators explore key areas of early childhood development presented in the original Texas Infant, Toddler, and Three-Year-Old Early Learning Guidelines.
Participants will learn how young children develop across multiple domains and discover practical strategies to support learning, development, and responsive caregiving from birth through age three.
Certificates of completion are available for each module. Participants may earn up to 10 clock hours or Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits upon completion of all five modules.
