Beginning Education: Early Childcare at Home (BEECH) is an online professional development system specifically designed for home-based child care providers by the Children’s Learning Institute. The system includes 20 sessions, each approximately one hour in length that incorporate videos, audio files, photos, and home-based scenarios. BEECH sessions are divided into 4 modules to cover a broad range of topics to support family-based child care providers and build their knowledge in key school readiness areas to support the children in their care.

- Strategies for Responsive Caregiving that Help Build Language (Self-Instructional)
- Responsive Caregiving: Building Behavior, Language, and Literacy Skills (Self-Instructional)
- Supporting Children’s Progress in Cognitive and Social-Emotional Development (Self-Instructional)
- Building Language into All Parts of the Day (Self-Instructional)
The system is available for free to family child care providers in Texas in English and Spanish!
BEECH courses may also be used as course content for parenting, including teen parenting, classes your program may host for your community.
El programa de cuidado para niños en casa es un programa de desarrollo profesional proporcionado a través del internet especialmente diseñado para proveedores que cuidan niños de nacimiento hasta los cinco años de edad en un hogar. El programa incluye 4 módulos (20 horas) y se enfoca en apoyar el desarrollo socio-emocional, cognitivo, lingüístico, matemático y de alfabetismo en niños pequeños:
