The Circle Infant and Toddler Curriculum provides everything your program needs to create and implement weekly lesson plans that support meaningful interactions and playful learning experiences for infant and toddler children.
Curriculum Components
The components of the curriculum, have been thoughtfully designed to serve as comprehensive, user-friendly resources. They offer various supports to help you learn, plan, and implement developmentally appropriate practices, regardless of your level of expertise, and gradually guide you from foundational to advanced implementation.
Included Components:
- Teacher’s Guide: Provides helpful guidance for successfully implementing the components of the curriculum and meeting the developmental needs of infants and toddlers.
- Plan Your Week: Provides Weekly Overviews with comprehensive planning guidance for children 0-36 months.
- Activities A through Z: Contains all of the quality, hands-on activities suggested in Plan Your Week. Activities are differentiated by age group and provide step-by-step guidance on how to implement the activity. Many of the activities include video demonstrations of teachers implementing the activities in authentic settings.
- Family Engagement: Contains a collection of activities from the Circle Activity Collection: Family found at CLIEngageFamily.org to help families engage in playful learning experiences at home. The Family Engagement section of Plan Your Week helps you know which activities you may send home each week to support what children are learning or experiencing with you in the classroom.
Print Only Resources:
- Supporting All Children: Provides specific guidance for adapting activities, routines, and materials to provide an equitable and inclusive learning environment for all children. It is organized around the following areas of support: auditory, dual language, language and communication, motor, sensory, social and emotional, and visual. This resource is only available as part of the print curriculum.
- Supplemental Resources: Includes picture cards to support curriculum activities. Digital curriculum users can download and print these supplemental resources using the Download PDF link within the online activity. Transition cards are also part of these resources and are only part of the print curriculum. They come organized on a ring and provide specific ideas to make transition times fun and meaningful. It also includes a book with a collection of rhymes, songs, and fingerplays.
